Gold Rush Season Six

Ernie’s Gold

We are pretty big fans of the show Gold Rush, so Ernie wanted to see if there was any good “pay dirt” hiding in the backyard.

I let him work on one of my old holes. There hasn’t been any activity in it for a while so I wondered, how much trouble could he get into? He’s a complete gold mining newbie and has never even seen a nugget. I kind of feel sorry for him.

I take my eye off him for a moment, and he’s all excited about a huge find. How Ernie was able to unearth these nuggets from this hole without even getting his paws dirty is still a mystery to me. I tried to keep Ernie’s discovery quiet, but Hank came over for a closer look. Hank sensed this was going to be a really good pay. Hank is like Tony Beets, when there’s a good gold discovery, he appears out of thin air to take his cut.

If that wasn’t bad enough, with his new found success Ernie wants to head off to the Klondike and mine alongside the guys from the show. He’s so confident at this point that all he wants me to do is point in the direction of the Klondike. Am I on candid camera?

My efforts to remind Hank about all the sweat and aggravation that I put into that hole went nowhere. I pointed out that this is the same over burden that the miners are always complaining about on the show, but Hank said nothing.

He eventually blurted out “Todd Hoffman who?” and “Gold Rush Season 6 here we come,” convinced that when the Discovery Channel executives see the results of our gold mining operation, we’d be the new gold mining reality TV stars, and ran inside.

Ernie wants to know, who’s Todd Hoffman?

I guess Ernie pays more attention to the heavy equipment used in the show, and not the cast members.

Like the good dogs we are, we filed this under General and we tagged it with Gold Rush.

What’s Your Tale?

It goes without saying that we're pretty impressed with ourselves. That confidence makes us totally comfortable putting your exploits right up here with our own.

Got pictures or videos to share, or an article on why Norfolk Terriers rule? We'd love to publish it, and we've got a guest post form that makes it easy.

About Otto

The toughness, smarts, and looks to be the lead dog, but job was already filled when I got here. Maybe one day I'll get promoted. In the meantime, biscuits.
