Being Prepared

Ernie Waits Outside Petsmart

I was jolted out of bed very early Saturday morning after receiving an ALL CAPS WEATHER WARNING from weather.com. Since I am a complete weather newbie, I figured, who would know better than weather.com? That’s why I loaded their app on my phone. The site screamed at me that I was sitting duck, right smack in the path of a blizzard packing 1-2″ of snow.

I am a little sketchy on some of the next few details, but a short time later I was at Petsmart hastily grabbing stuff. I’d like to think this wasn’t a panicked shopping run or me going overboard because in my mind I was only picking up essential items. Upon my return, I showed Hank the bags of food I bought. He reminded me that we already have a 30 day supply of food sitting in the pantry.

I stayed off the roads for safety and used public transportation for my shopping run. Even though I didn’t see a single flake all day, this was not an overreaction because it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Like the good dogs we are, we filed this under General and we tagged it with Ernie, Petsmart.

What’s Your Tale?

It goes without saying that we're pretty impressed with ourselves. That confidence makes us totally comfortable putting your exploits right up here with our own.

Got pictures or videos to share, or an article on why Norfolk Terriers rule? We'd love to publish it, and we've got a guest post form that makes it easy.

About Ernie

Fresh face of the group. Up for just about anything going on, except when I'm napping. Lifetime ambition: pinning Hank or Otto in a wrestling match, fair and square.
